Salzkammergut Map
The Salzkammergut is a resort area located in Austria. With its numerous lakes and mountains, the Salzkammergut offers many opportunities to take part in water sports, bathing, hiking, cycling, caving and golf as well as relaxing around lakes such as the Grundsee or Toplitzsee. The World Heritage Site includes the towns Hallstatt, Obertraun, Gosau and Bad Goisern. Hiking in the Salzkammergut doesn’t necessarily mean having to climb mountains. There is a different way! Enjoy the picturesque Salzkammergut by walking. The hiking tour takes you from the natural Lake Schwarzensee to the Lake Attersee, Austria’s largest inland lake, as far as the greatly-praised Lake Wolfgangsee. Nature and culture are in accord here and offer the perfect setting for a ramble rich in experience.
