Walking Tours in Italy

Cinque Terre is quite possibly the most beautiful coastal walk in Europe, on the most magnificent part of the Italian Riviera. The Cinque Terre are five coastal, medieval villages in the province of La Spezia: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of a national park of the same name. The Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Situated on the west side of Italy on the Mediterranean coast, Tuscany is simply steeped in natural beauty, history and culture. Chains of slender cypress trees rise and fall amongst the green-brown contours of the Tuscan hills. Here you will discover peace and calm. The evenings inherit the beauty of the days just spent and you will soon come to appreciate why this place has seduced writers like Robert Browning and E.M. Forster.

The Amalfi Coast is probably Italy’s most beautiful coastline. Moreover, the Costiera Amalfitana is located on the southern side of the Sorrento Peninsula, protected from the cold northern winds by its impressive mountains, and therefore has a wonderful climate all year long. Therefore this tour is a good option for a great walk already in early Spring or in late Autumn. The landscape is immensely varied and surrounded by infinite ever-changing views. It can be the typical Mediterranean; intoxicated by wild perfumed herbs, with myrtle shrubs, thyme, rosemary and mastic trees, or almost alpine with meadows and bare rocks.

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful coastlines in Europe. An intriguing mix between a stunning natural environment and the patient labour of people, the steep mountain slopes have been transformed. The coast is a burst of colour, covered in a cascade of terraced lemon groves, with charming pastel and white villages, many chapels, and other sites of cultural interest scattered all over. Its dramatic coastline offers beautiful views, different every step you take, and the smell of rosemary and citrus trees fills the air, fields of multicoloured roses overwhelm the eyes and sandy beaches are magical to the touch.
