Muckross House
The 19th century Muckross House is situated close to the Muckross Lake in the Killarney National Park. It offers magnificent views over the surrounding lakes and Muckross Gardens. The gardens include an Arboretum, which is recognised worldwide for its incredible plant collections. The house and the gardens are open to visitors daily all year round. Visitors can also explore and enjoy the adjoining traditional farms as well as the garden restaurant for some delicious Irish specialties.
Torc Waterfall
Torc Waterfall is approximately 2 kilometres away from the Muckross House and is part of the Kerry Way. So you can’t miss it. It lies on the foot of Torc mountain. The waterfall is about 20 metres high and it is just one of the many beautiful stops to rest within the National Park. Definitely worth visiting to soak in all of what the beauty of Ireland has to offer.
Rossbeigh Beach
Rossbeigh Beach is a wonderful, sandy beach that offers lots of fun activities for families and a nice beach day out. Horse trekking, long walks or water sports, Rossbeigh Beach has it all. Rossbeigh is approximately 2km away from Glenbeigh along the Kerry Ring and certainly worth a quick detour. There is a playground for kids and lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, which offer great choices of Irish food. With a classic, beautiful sand beach close to your walking tour, the Kerry Way surely is a fantastic way to go.
