Discover the island along the Camí de Cavalls trail and see part of the beautiful coast and inland beauty spots on this route. The Camí de Cavalls is a path that was used to defend the coast of Menorca and connect the watchtowers and fortresses. It was built in 1330 and has been used as a way to communicate the entire island. Now, after many claims from the locals, the path has become a public road that goes around the entire island– thanks to the recovery work that has been done and completed in 2011. The Camí de Cavalls path has been included in the European Long-Distance Path.

Day 2
16.5km

Cala en Porter to Sant Tomàs

Transfer to Cala en Porter. We will then start our route at the largest beach on the island, Cala en Porter to Son Bou Beach, where a paleo-Christian basilica is located as well as a dune bar of a great ecologic value. We will then head inland to find Prat de Son Bou or the Ses Canessies lagoon, the most important orchards after the Natural Park. We will then arrive at Sant Tomàs.

Day 3
12km

Sant Tomàs to Cala Galdana

Known as the ravines hiking, today we will cross the most important and astonishing ravines of the island. We depart right from the hotel to cross the beach of Sant Tomàs and Sant Adeodat and go to the beach of Binigaus. At the beginning of our hike, we can visit the caves of Es Coloms. We cross the croplands of Binigaus, the beautiful ravines of Trebalúger and Es Calafat. Then we will continue our hike until the idyllic Cala Mitjana that comes before the virgin corner of Cala Mitjaneta. We will follow the path until we come to Cala Galdana. At the Algendar ravine of Cala Galdana, we will see various types of birds and we will explore the different caves and grottos this magical place offers.

Day 4
10km

Cala Galdana to Son Saura Beacch

Often thought of as one of the most spectacular days of our trek, today we cross the beautiful turquoise coves of Menorca. We begin the hike to Cala Galdana to get to Cala Macarella and Macarelleta, home to many aquatic species coexisting among the reeds of Santa Anna. Then, we will cross wild olive woods and juniper woods, arriving at the dunes of the paradisiacal beach of Cala en Turqueta. Along the route, we will pass through protected areas with rocky areas that intersect ravines and creeks. Before we get to Son Saura, take time to relax in almost paradise, Cala Talaier. We will then transfer from Son Saura to Ciutadella hotel.

Day 5
16.5km

Cala Morell to Els Alocs

We will begin the day with a transfer to the starting point of our hike. Today’s stretch will lead us through a rocky coast, home to some predatory birds- where we will be able to witness their low flying and some sheep grazing. We will come across some hypogeum and underground cisterns and a cross in remembrance of the General Chanzy sinking. The dune system shows a very dense endemic vegetation. Beside the necropolis, there is a small water spring. At Pla de Mar, we will come across a mine and a stony stretch. The trail crosses wooded areas inhabited by forest birds and mammals. The surroundings are rocks that house predatory birds like the Muntanya Mala. We then will continue to Els Alocs Beach. We will then transfer to Port Fornells where we will spend the night.

Day 6
